Endangered Species Awareness: Protecting the Atlantic Horseshoe Crab

Group Members: Mamadou Barry, Kevin Lakhram, Habib Diallo

The entirety of our project is simple terms would be to spread awareness about Horseshoe crabs and how they are beneficial in the scientific field but also how they are becoming more and more endangered as we continue to use them in labs. These horseshoe crabs are commonly brought to labs their blood is used for bacteria testing in a lot of medicines, drugs, and vaccines. By monitoring the population of these crabs we are able to help them thrive more efficiently. Thus, by introducing newer alternatives we can persevere the population more sufficiently and allow for more spawning of the horseshoe crabs.
