Melody Wanderers Podcast

This is an image of all of our shoes after we went to see a jazz performance in the Lincoln Centre.

Group Members: Elola Eckford, Elizabeth Fernandez, Nicole Rodruigez, Ernila Zenelaj

We made 2 episodes of a podcast, each about 20 minutes, where we discussed different types of art seen by us around New York. We each researched one topic for every episode, then within the episode discussed our research and analyzed the effects of the art within society or to us personally. Each of us wrote out a scripted portion for ourselves depending on the research we did, and then the rest of the podcast is non scripted discussion.

How did completing your project help you explore the role of arts in the lives of New Yorkers and their communities?

Completing the project helped us explore the role of arts in the lives of New York and their communities by taking a step back and appreciating not only the art all around us but also the artists. Through deep analysis of the topics we discovered that each artist is unique in every way. Their personality and beliefs are easily recognizable and conveyed in their art pieces. Art has the power to lift communities.
