My STEAM Mask

Group Members: Wilson Wu

I’ve attached a mask that symbolizes my multifaceted identity. The lower part of the mask represents my Chinese cultural background, and the upper part illustrates my diverse interests and the professional paths I aim to pursue, namely in healthcare. I hope to capture everything possibly externally and internally about me. Through this, I want to capture all aspects of who I am.

How did completing your project help you explore the role of arts in the lives of New Yorkers and their communities?

In completing this project, I drew upon my understanding of art history to develop a piece that truly reflects my identity without being influenced by other peoples’ thinking. This experience fostered a creative mindset, allowing me to explore various artistic expressions."
