The Effect of Better Trash Collection Methods on Public Health in the Upper East Side and Harlem

Group Members: Charlize Yee and Diya Singh

This research poster and project was inspired by our observations about the discrepancies in street cleanliness and overall public health in the neighborhoods of the Upper East Side and Harlem. There are clear and well-known differences in the resources offered to each community and we wanted to highlight the impacts of these differences. While the research conducted for this project is somewhat limited in scope, we hope that the ideas discussed are ones that will be visited by policymakers in the near future.
