In our project, we demonstrated how people, even from the farthest corners of NYC, can find their paths crossing in places that celebrate art, such as the High Line.
The choice of location was justified by the very essence of the High Line. It is as dynamic as NYC itself — situated among residential buildings and hundreds of plant species, it showcases not only art pieces but also the vibrant spirit of the city as a whole. Always evolving, with art installations changing more frequently than in traditional art galleries, it reflects the ever-changing rhythm of life in NYC. As demonstrated by our commute routes, living in this city demands far more than stillness.
In a city filled with art — whether in a subway station or right outside your home — it is the force that unites us. This is why we invited others to contribute to our project by pinning their neighborhoods, further emphasizing the idea that “different people come from different places” and transforming our poster into an art piece in its own right.
