The Relationship Between Water and Common Jewelweed

Group Members: Leslieann Peers, Shelly Zebak. Ilan Arama, Rebecca Toussie, Stephen Kwong, Mehr Firdavsi

Based on our experience in BioBlitz, Our group created an experiment around the Common Jewelweed plant that we all encountered in our groups. Our hypothesis was to see if there was a relationship between the amount of common jewelweed in the park and the bodies of water nearby. In our experiment, we concluded that the amount of common jewelweed near the bodies of water is more than the amount of common jewelweed that is further from a body of water. To reach our conclusion we used the Chi-Squared test so that we would be able to have a substantial amount of statistical data to back up our hypothesis.
